Your Tanglewood management committee have unanimously made the decision to make St. John Fisher Church hall our permanent home.
As you all know we have been using the church hall since the beginning of June, as this was a temporary arrangement we have been unable to provide our members with as many activities as we accustomed to. However, Making the move permanent will give us some storage facilities. As time goes on and if all goes well, I’m sure that we will be able to increase our storage capacity, which will allow us to greatly increase the activities that we provide our members – at least up to the level that we were accustomed to at Harrow Borough, if not higher.
It is sad to have to leave Harrow Borough, where we have been based since 2009. They have been very good to us over those 17 years but in recent years they have been having some serious financial issue’s which resulted in our tenure at their premises was becoming extremely unpredictable.
Looking ahead I am very confident that this move is in the best interest of Tanglewood Monday Club and it’s members – and that is the most important thing. If I didn’t think it would work, I wouldn’t have suggested it. So, we start a new Era at St. John Fisher Church hall – commencing Monday 7th September
This move however comes at a price – literally – Our annual rent will increase by £40 per week, so our committee agreed to increase the subs payable by club members from £5.00 to £6.00 (plus £1 for club shop if required) commencing September 7th
