Members of the Invictus Lodge came to club this week and presented us with a cheque for £500. The cheque was received, on our behalf, by Julie Valentine who has been attending Tanglewood since before 1980. This was followed by our very first group photo taken in our new club room at St. John Fisher Church. This is the fourth year running that the invictus lodge have donated £500 to us.
Donations are always very welcome, obviously, but this year, with the change of club room etc. has been particularly challenging financially as well as logistically, so this years donation was very very much appreciated.
I have some more good news, we have received a donation to enable us to purchase two new pool tables. More on this at a later date.
I have decided to postpone the intended “Open Evening” at our new home. I will re schedule it when our new pool table4s are in place and our storage facilities have been sorted.
