TANGLEWOOD IS TO CLOSE DOWN
FOR A FEW WEEKS
As you all know, Harrow Borough have serious financial problems – last Friday they posted a “Club statement” which stated that
“…. From Tuesday 5th May the club (Harrow Boro) will close its doors for all activities, but please be assured we will do all we can over the summer months to find a suitable investor with the intention of reopening in the near future…… We will be mothballed until every avenue has been exhausted….We will keep you updated of all major developments

As I mentioned in last weeks letter, Tanglewood has been offered a church hall that we can use as our club room. It is a nice hall and it was very generous of the clergy to offer it. However, we have decided to stay where we are for the time being because the excelent facilities that have been offered to us by Harrow Boro for the past 17 years (has it really been that long) are so perfect for our needs.
The Tanglewood management committee have unanimously decided to close down whilst Harrow Borough try to sort out their finances. Our committee will meet regularly and decide what to do and when it is the right time to do it.
In the meantime I will be publishing our monthly magazine – the next issue will be published next weekend and will be posted or emailed to you. I will supervise the monthly 100 club draw as we did during the pandemic. We may be able to run a few outings in our minibuses so keep an eye out for them and please keep checking our web site – that is where you will find out all the latest news first. Please bear with us, the closure is completely out of our control. I think that if Harrow Borough manage to find a suitable investor our decision to mothball our club in the same way as Harrow Boro. and not take a knee-jerk decision to move into a new club room, will pay off – let’s hope so. In the meantime please note that there will be no Tanglewood club until further notice.
