This coming Monday, March 16th we are holding the 11th Strictly Tanglewood Dancing night in our club room starting at 7.00 – everyone is welcome to join us watching the couples dancing for the Chirag Kunverji Trophy.
The trophy is named after club member Chirag who was taken from us on 31st January 2021 – He was just 31 years old. I am very pleased to say that his family will be joining us for the event and his mother, Kantha, will be presenting the prizes. I do hope you will join us.
Seven couples will be taking part = Kavitha & Syed, Natalie & Robert, Debbie & Paul, Usha & David, Karen & Kevin, Annie & Michael and Emma & Scott.
Last Monday Christopher Gridley retained his singles Pool trophy by beating Simon Parsons in the final. This is the third time Chris has been champion (2025 & 2017) and he has been runner up twice (2018 & 2012) Simon won the title in 2007 and was runner up in 2015, 2009 & 2004. They are both shown below proudly holding their trophies.
