Our dear friend and Tanglewood volunteer for over 28 years Vic passed away on May 6th after a short fight against cancer – just 6 days before his 77th birthday. It was a shock to us all. We knew he was ill, in fact at our last club night (April 28th) we all signed a get-well card for him, but none of us realised just how ill he was. I received a message from Vic saying how much he appreciated the card. I am so pleased that we were able to get the card signed and that he saw it.
R.I.P Vic. He was such a dependable volunteer. He was also great at D.I.Y. and we put those skills to great use many many times over the years. If any little, or big, job needed doing at club “Just ask Vic, he'll sort it” and he always did. Every charity needs someone like Vic – his skills were very varied and very much appreciated.
What a great volunteer helper, What a great man, what a great friend and what a void he will leave.
On behalf of everyone at Tanglewood I pass my sincere condolences to Jean, is wife, their two sons and other family members and friends.
I will put together a few photo's and put them on this web site later today.
