For the first time in the clubs history, we organised a trip to Buckingham Palace.  I don't mean standing outside in The Mall for a photo opportunity, I'm taking about a visit inside the Palace followed by a tour of the gardens!

Unfortunately you are not allowed to take photo's inside the Palace or in the grounds so the group are pictured below just before they entered out Monarch's official residence.   They travelled up by train and arrived just in time the see the famous changing of the guard – F company Scots Guards taking over the security from Number 9  Company Irish Guards until Sunday when the Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards will take over.  A short video of this very popular event will be posted on our YouTube channel (click on the YouTube icon on this web site)

The tours took approx. 4 hours, then it was time to come home.  Some of the group joined Anita, Karen & Paul for Dinner in the Star, South Harrow.  I would like to thank all the helpers who made this trip possible – It must have been a memorable day for our club members.
