The Harrow Borough football club Golf society has donated £620 to Tanglewood. The extremely generous donation was made at the Harrow Borough annual Christmas buffet/dance organised by the Vice Presidents association. We had already been given 16 free tickets for the event, worth £288, courtesy of Mr Dennis Willis who is a director of the football club for which we are extremely grateful.
I had no idea what was going to happen – it was just after the meal that the surprise donation was made to myself by Paul Pfiffer and he is pictured below making the presentation. Also pictured are members of the golf society on a Christmas card which had the following words inside:- “To Tanglewood, wishing you a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Thank you for all you do in the community. This is a gift from us to you. We hope the Tanglewood members will enjoy the money we have raised”
It was indeed a lovely gesture and on behalf of all the Tanglewood club members I offer my sincere thanks to everyone involved with the Harrow Borough F.C. Golf Society.
