PAM ENGLEFIELD 1945 – 2023

It is with much sadness that I have to report that former club helper Pam died on Sunday 2nd July.  Pam had been fighting a long battle against cancer. She was rushed to Northwick Park hospital on Sunday morning with severe chest pains. She suffered a cardiac arrest in the afternoon from which she did not recover.  She was a remarkable woman, the phrase one-in-a-million springs to mind.

I first met Pam back in the 1980's when she became a club helper. Her husband Chas joined soon after and has been a club helper ever since. On behalf of everyone at Tanglewood I offer Chas my sincere condolences.  I have some lovely memories of Pam and I share these memories with you by posting some photo's.  Pam was very fond of Karen & Paul and loved them to bits – the reverse is also true.  Like everyone else we will all miss her terribly.  My favourite picture is the one with Chas – they were just perfect for one another.  The most recent photo shows Pam with my sister – it was taken on 28th February this year at the party celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 100 club.
