Chirag joined Tanglewood on 30th Nov. 2015 and he instantly became everybody’s friend – he was that sort of person – you just couldn’t help but like him. He was such a gentleman and a loving caring person. During that short time at Tanglewood he won the Pool singles tournamant in 2018, he was runner up a year later and won the Darts doubles tournament in the same year. he also won our Strictly Tanglewood dancing competition two years running, 2018 with his partner Debbie and 2019 with Annie. We will all miss him enormously and club just won’t be the same without him.
Here are some of the comments made by my helpers when they heard the news:-
“Amazing guy, he will be fondly missed” “Difficult to comprehend a club night without him. He will be sadly missed” “Heart breaking news. A lovely, kind and caring young man” “He was such a star. I keep remembering how brilliant he was at the Strictly evenings. Shocking news” His funeral takes place on Friday 12th February in Amersham. only close family members are allowed to go but on this web site you can find out how to watch the service as it happens live at 09.30. Also on this web site, and on our YouTube channel you can see part of our virtual Tanglewood club on Zoom which we held on Monday 8th, it is a 15-minute segment where I asked club members and helpers to recall their memories of Chirag. You can also see Chirag’s winning dance routine at our “Strictly” night.
What great memories of a truly wonderful, never to be forgotten person.
