Chirag Kunverji 1989 – 2021

I have received devastating news that Chirag passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of Sunday 31st January, he was just 31 years old.

Chirag is pictured holding the two championship shields he held in 2019 for holding the Pool singles and Darts doubles titles at the same time.

To say Chirag was a popular club member is a massive understatement – he was so well liked by everyone who knew him and we at Tanglewood are all gutted at this terrible news. His sister has
asked me to convey to you the following message:-

“Chirag passed away peacefully in his sleep this morning (Sunday). He has definitely gone too soon. He got so much joy from Tanglewood and was always proud to show off his awards for the various competitions he entered. He loved socialising, dancing, cricket and was especially proud of his allotment. My Mum and Dad were so proud of him and they are always happy to support you and the club. I will let you know further arrangements once we have news”

On behalf of everyone at Tanglewood I offer my sincere condolences to his parents, sister Madhavi and other family members. Arrangements regarding the funeral etc. will be published on our web site. My thanks to Madhavi for writing this tribute at such short notice and at a very difficult time
for the family but they wanted to let everyone know at Tanglewood
