Virtual Tanglewood

As there won’t be any clubs between now and 2021, I thought it would be a good idea for club members to join a chat room using the Zoom video conferencing app. The idea is that once a fortnight a group of club members can chat with me and other club members for around half an hour. I have registered and paid for a years subscription to Zoom so we can have as many meetings as we like. These chat rooms will be on a Monday evening starting at 7.30. with the first one planned for Sept, 14th.

This is what you have to do – firstly you must have access to the internet and have a computer, laptop or tablet (it will also work on smart phone’s but the picture size would be too small to get any benefit from it.) You will also need to download the Zoom app. (which is free).

Realistically I could only accommodate about ten club members at a time so depending on how many club members want to take part I will divide you into groups of ten – I will mix up the groups so there are a different ten each time we meet.

You will need to email me, or use the online form on the CONTACT US page stating your name and the email address you will be using to log on. I will then email you with the date of your first chat room meeting and email you the link you will need to join in.

I think it is a great idea and it will give you the chance to chat to me and other club members about what you have been up to during the lock down and I hope that some of my club helpers will also join in. I will set up the first meeting for the 14th September and we’ll take it from there.
