The Final of the 2025 singles darts competition took place at club on Nov. 24th  The final itself is played as the best of 5 games of 301 and a double is not required to win each game.  Competing in this years final was Christopher Gridley, playing in only his second darts final – he won this title in 2017 – and Simon Parsons, playing in his fourth final – he won it in 2001 and 2010 and was runner up in 2006 and 2014.

Simon came away with the title in a straight 3 – 0 win. However, it was closer than the score line suggests with both players missing chances to win each of the 3 games. So congratulations go to Simon Parsons and commiserations to Chris.

Simon has now played in a total of 17 Tanglewood sports finals and Chris in 11

A third trohy was up for grabs – the highest score of the tournament – this was won by Usha Myanger with a magnificent throw of 126 in round one.  That throw was the tenth highest score ever thrown in the Darts competitions which started back in 1988.

All three are pictured receiving their trophies from the tournament organiser Chas.
