The final of the 2018 helpers darts final took place at club on January 7th – there wasn’t enough time to complete the tournament in 2018 – between myself and Chas.
I probably started as favourite, not because I’m particularly good at darts but because this was my 16th helpers darts final and I’ve won 13 of them, including 12 of the last 13 finals. Chas on the other hand was appearing in his 7th final having won just the one, back in 2004.
We had just purchased a brand new dart board which we were using for the first time, it didn’t do me any good thought because Chas played brilliantly beating me 3 – 0 and so won the title for the second time. Well done Chas, is was thoroughly deserved. My only consolation was that in the third leg I threw the highest score of the tournament – 133 – which I was quite pleased with.
We are pictured receiving our trophies from Caroline.
